How information you send through this site is collected, used, and protected.

Who This Policy Covers
This policy explains what information Patriot4Truth collects through this website, why it is collected, and how it is handled. It applies to patriot4truth.com and the forms on it.
Patriot4Truth is an independent commentary and advocacy platform. It is not a law firm, a government agency, or a licensed professional service.
Information You Give Us
When you fill in a form on this site, we receive what you type into it. Depending on the form, that can include your name, email address, phone number, city and state, the organization you represent, and whatever you choose to write in the message or story fields.
Several forms allow file uploads. People sometimes attach court documents, prison records, medical records, photographs, or video. We only receive files you choose to upload. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing, and consider removing details that are not necessary to your request.
When a form includes agreement checkboxes, we store the exact wording you agreed to along with the date and time. This exists so both of us have a clear record of what was agreed.
Information Collected Automatically
When a form is submitted, our forms software also records the IP address the submission came from, the browser and device identification your browser sends, the page the form was submitted from, and the date and time. This information helps identify spam and abuse.
Our web server keeps standard access logs, and our host may retain them for a period we do not control.
This site does not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party behavioral tracking scripts.
How We Use Your Information
We use what you send to read and respond to your message, to review a story or nomination, to consider a request for assistance and, where appropriate, point you toward resources or organizations, to process a volunteer inquiry, and to send newsletter updates if you asked for them.
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not run ads on this site.
What We Do Not Do
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it. We do not trade it. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Submitting a story does not mean it will be published. Nothing you send is made public unless you have indicated you are willing to share it publicly and we have confirmed that with you first.
When Information May Be Shared
There are limited situations where information may be shared: with a person or organization you have asked us to connect you with, and only with your agreement; with service providers who operate parts of this website, such as our web host, who can access data only as needed to run the service; and where we are required to by law, such as a valid legal request, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to prevent serious harm.
Third-Party Content on This Site
This site displays fonts served by Google Fonts. Loading a page causes your browser to request those files from Google, which means Google receives your IP address.
The videos section embeds players from YouTube, Rumble, TikTok, and Instagram. Video thumbnails are click-to-play, so a player only loads after you choose to play something. Once you do, that platform may set cookies and collect information about your viewing under its own privacy policy, not ours.
Links to outside websites are provided for reference. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. WordPress sets cookies for logged-in administrators, and a cookie may be used to remember form progress. Third-party players you choose to load may set their own cookies as described above.
How Long We Keep Information
Form submissions are kept for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of the request. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed.
You can ask us to delete your submission and any files attached to it. We will do so unless we are required to keep it for legal reasons.
Your Choices
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. You can ask for a copy of what you have sent us, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the form on the contact page and we will respond as promptly as we reasonably can.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the General Data Protection Regulation. Tell us what you are requesting and we will do our best to honor it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information sent through this site, including encrypted connections and spam filtering on forms. No website can promise perfect security, and we will not claim otherwise. Please bear that in mind when deciding what to include in a submission, particularly medical or legal records.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top. Material changes will be noted clearly.
